In 1997 the UK government introduced a set of regulations designed to protect hedgerows from damage or destruction. They provided a set of criteria against which individual hedgerows could be evaluated, to determine their protection status. The evaluation criteria are, however, complex and not easy to apply.
Hedgerow Assistant from Pisces changes all that! Hedgerow Assistant is an expert system, designed to guide you through the evaluation process. By answering a series of questions Hedgerow Assistant will quickly enable you to determine whether your hedge is protected by statute
