W.S. Bristowe's 2 volumes of The Comity of Spiders were completed in 1939 and 1941, and significantly increase the understanding of the spiders of Britain. As well as distribution by county for the known species, the books cover, in considerable depth, distribution by environment, dispersal, estimates of spider populations, predators and prey of spiders, defence, and mating strategies and habits.
Pisces Conservation are pleased to have worked in collaboration with the Ray Society, the original publishers of the books, to re-issue them in electronic form.
Both volumes are available on a single CD for Windows PCs and Macs, with fully searchable text and hyperlinks for ease of navigation.
Format: E-book + high-resolution images on CD-ROM. This volume is also available as a download.
